Burroughs Celebrates Fifth Annual bigmoose Charity Football Tournament with Over £3,500 Raised

06/07/2026

Burroughs’ fifth annual bigmoose Charity Football Tournament once again brought together businesses from across the industry for a day of friendly competition, fundraising and community spirit, raising more than £3,500 for bigmoose, with donations still being counted.

Held in support of the mental health charity, this year’s tournament welcomed 14 teams who came together with one shared goal: raising vital funds to help people access life-changing mental health support.

Congratulations go to Aegis Security Ltd, who lifted this year’s trophy after an outstanding tournament, with Burroughs 2 finishing as runners-up.

Teams taking part included Morgan Sindall Construction, Tetra Tech,  Sanctus, Morgan Sindall Infrastructure, AG/Cambrensis, Hugh James , Aegis Security Ltd, Camargue, Walters, and AtkinsRéalis.

Since the tournament first kicked off in 2022, it has become a much-anticipated annual event, bringing together clients, partners and colleagues while raising awareness and funds for bigmoose.

The charity provides rapid access to therapy for those experiencing mental health challenges, helping to prevent suicide and reduce homelessness. While waiting lists for therapy in Wales can often extend to many months, bigmoose works to connect people with qualified therapists in as little as one week, ensuring support is available when it is needed most.

The success of this year’s event would not have been possible without the commitment and generosity of everyone involved. Burroughs would like to thank every team, volunteer, supporter and donor for contributing to another memorable tournament.

With donations continuing to come in, Burroughs looks forward to announcing the final fundraising total in the coming weeks and continuing its long-standing support of bigmoose and its vital work.

Thank you to everyone who helped make the fifth annual tournament such a success. Together, we’re making a meaningful difference both on and off the pitch.
