Working for Alun Griffiths Contracting Ltd, on behalf of Connected Kerb, we aided in the project delivery of 366 EV Charging points across ten local authorities.
Burroughs provided civil engineering design services to undertake siting studies at each of the proposed sites. Some of the key considerations for siting of EV chargers were ensuring and maintaining safe traffic flow, spatial coordination, proximity to electrical supply, accessible design, consideration for permit/approvals (for example Network Rail BAPA) and project cost.
This project was one of the largest deployments of accessible EV Charging Points across the UK. The project was funded by the local authority, an Office for Zero Emissions Vehicle (OZEV) grant and Connected Kerb.
