Cleve Hill Solar Farm

PROJECT SCOPE

Working on behalf of Private Energy Partners Ltd, Burroughs provided technical design services in a due diligence role in the preconstruction phase of the Cleve Hill Solar Farm project.

Once operational, it will be the largest solar farm in the UK, generating 373 MW of electricity from 900 acres (360 hectares) of vertical solar panels and will also include 700 MWh of battery storage. Electricity will be exported from the project via the 400 kV National Grid substation at Cleve Hill.

Burroughs undertook drainage design and 3D modelling to provide design options at road river crossings to provide optimised solutions. Burroughs also undertook access track design whereby we undertook specialist discussion with geotextile manufacturers to help the client propose an enhanced solution for access track construction, both more cost effective and sustainable.
