Burroughs supported Hitachi Zosen Inova in the development of their Ferrybridge EFW project. Burroughs conducted a Category 3 independent check of the proposed superstructure. In order to do this, Burroughs completed discrete finite element 3D modelling of the structure, considering various loading conditions, to ensure that the structure would be able to resist the temporary and permanent loadings resulting from the gravitational effect of the boiler weights, etc. and in addition to the lateral loading check based on wind and Equivalent Horizontal forces.
