Martyn joined Burroughs as a Non-Executive Director in September 2022, contributing to our business’s resilience and sustainable growth. His role has been pivotal in shaping our structure to reflect our ambition and commitment to professionalism.

Martyn’s career began in the Civil Service and later advanced at Costain, where he was Regional Director for Wales and the Southwest. From 2004 to 2022, he served as Executive Director of Griffiths, overseeing significant organisational change and strategic growth during this period.

He advocates for proactive business planning while upholding strong governance and the achievement of business plan objectives. He has a proven track record in developing people and promoting inclusivity, organisational resilience and sustainable business practices.

A fellow of the Chartered Institution of Highways and Transportation and a member of the Institute of Directors, Martyn has served as Chairman of both the CIHT South Wales Branch and South Wales Construction Safety Group. He is also a member of Brecon Mountain Rescue Team and has served as a Director of Wales Air Ambulance Trust.
