Burroughs provided temporary works design support to the £7.1m scheme at Pontypool and New Inn Railway Station to provide a footbridge and park and ride facilities. The bridge was craned into place in March 2021.

The works were undertaken alongside live rail lines, with closures for limited overnight periods for key activities. Burroughs carried out assessment of existing structures, design for rail crossovers, temporary platforms, site compounds, crane platforms and piling platforms.

The scheme is one of the first Cardiff Capital Region Metro Plus schemes being delivered towards the South Wales Metro system.
