Upton-upon-Severn

PROJECT SCOPE

Burroughs acted as the Contractor’s Designer for a highways and drainage scheme to provide flood resilience to Upton-upon-Severn by replacing culverts and raising road levels for improved access to the town during flood events.

The highway (A4104) is located between Upton-upon-Severn and Holly Green. Burroughs was responsible for designing flood conveyance structures accounting for remodelling of the River Severn Flooding Catchment.

We were actively involved in the approach to phasing, through design and construction, working collaboratively with all stakeholders targeting a best value outcome, which enabled the route to remain open for local traffic during the construction of the works.
